The Perry Cup is BACK in ’26!

Brisbane’s favourite one day, mixed 5-a-side charity football tournament that celebrates football, culture and community.

Perry Cup is held at the Perry Park artificial grass cage at 34 Folkestone St, Bowen Hills QLD – part of Brisbane Strikers Football Club.

The tournament features a group stage with each team playing at least four games, with the top two of each group heading into the knockout stage. With over $3000 in prizes up for grabs, as well as food and drinks, live DJ sets and giveaways, Perry Cup provides family-friendly entertainment and hyped side-line vibes for everyone to enjoy.

Tournament details.

MATCHES:

Match duration: 25 minutes per match (including a 1-minute half-time break)

Changeover: 5-minute changeover between matches (no team will play back-to-back matches until the Semi-finals)

Number of teams: 10 total (2 groups of 5)

Eligibility:

  • Teams must have 5 players minimum (on the pitch) and can register up to 10 players.

  • 8 players is the sweet spot for subs and rotation.

  • The tournament is mixed-gender.

  • Each team must field at least one female-identifying or non-binary player on the at all times.

Tournament Format:

  • Group Stage (Round-robin)

  • Semi-finals

  • Final & Third place playoff

  • First match starts at 9:00 AM

  • Last match concludes at 4:30 PM

A detailed tournament schedule will be released once team registrations have closed.

STRICT NO D*CKHEADS POLICY:

Perry Cup is all about good vibes, friendly competition, and coming together for a great cause. It’s a mixed, family-friendly day of football, so we expect everyone to play hard but fair, show respect, and keep it fun for all involved.

Aggressive, disrespectful, or overly competitive (d*ckhead) behaviour that kills the vibe won’t be tolerated. If your actions ruin the spirit of the event, we reserve the right to remove you (and your team) from the tournament. Nobody wants that, so please don’t be that person.

Goals for good.

Perry Cup is a not-for-profit community event. All funds raised are donated to local charities working on the ground in Brisbane. In 2025 we raised $2,800 for Brisbane Zero, a group of community service organisations working to end homelessness in the city.
